Tuesday News

On Sunday I snapped this photo of a Great Blue Heron in a local park. I was only six or eight feet away and she stood there, calm as could be. Turns out she has been mugging for tourists all summer, and who can blame her? She (or he) is very photogenic!

Yesterday I finished the line edits for my January 2011 release, The Wedding Bargain, and sent those to my editor. It's good to have that off my plate so I can focus on next week's release of Firefighter Daddy.

To kick things off I’ll be a guest blogger this Friday (July 9th) with The Pink Heart Society. It’s “Must Watch Friday" and I’ll be chatting about a favorite film and TV show. I hope you’ll join me.

Speaking of blogs, the authors of Harlequin American Romance’s first-ever continuity series, The Codys: First Family of Rodeo, have created a blog to discuss the series with readers. Click on the link and head on over for contests, lots of talk about cowboys, and...well...why talk about anything else when you can talk about cowboys?

Unless of course it's firefighters! My first Firefighter Daddy booksigning is scheduled for next Friday, July 16 at:
Save On Foods
Country Club Mall
3200 North Island Highway, Nanaimo, BC
1 to 4 pm
There’ll be bookmarks and chocolate. If you’re in the area, please drop by and say “Hi!”

Until next time,
Lee

Hi Lee

I've been keeping my eyes out for the July releases in our local stores but am still waiting for the books to hit the shelves--good luck with your book signing.

Thanks for mentioning The Codys: First Famnily of Rodeo blog, I hope some of your fans drop by and chat with us about cowboys!

Hi, Marin! Technically the July American Romances shouldn't be on the shelves until next Tuesday - that's the "official" release date. Some stores put them out early, though, so eagle-eye shoppers might find them sooner.

I'll be sure to drop by The Codys blog tomorrow and check out your post.

Lee...just wanted to let you know that I have read "Firefighter Daddy" and really loved it. I have a subscription to the American line through eHarlquin so I read it back at the end of May. Wish I didn't live all the way across the US on the Texas Gulf coast because I would love to meet you and thank you in person for writing such wonderful books.

Oh, Lee, I love that cover for Firefighter Daddy. He's purty. :)

Thanks for the mention of the Codys blog. We're all really excited about this first continuity series from Harlequin American.

Oh Ellen, I'm so glad you enjoyed Firefighter Daddy! You are a total sweetheart and you have absolutely made my day. And it would be lovely to meet you, too. Maybe someday!

Thanks, Trish! I have been in love with this cover from the moment I saw it.

I can't wait to read the Cody series. I still haven't had a chance to read Rebecca's book, the first in series. I'm now thinking I might set them aside until I have all six, then treat myself to a cowboyfest!
