Sunday Fun—Jack-o’-Lanterns in the Park

How much fun is this?

Someone in my community set out these jack-o’-lanterns in a local park on Hallowe’en night, lined up along logs intended to prevent people from driving off the road and into the rain forest. Altogether, fifty or sixty jack-o’-lanterns lined the roadway and greeted travelers on Hallowe’en night. Is that cool or what?

I have no idea who was responsible for this random act of kindness but I have to say, “Thank you for making me smile!”

Until next time,
Lee

How charming those jack o' lanterns look!

I'd love to have seen them all lit up.

And it's such a perfect setting for them against the backdrop of the forest and with a few fall leaves on the ground. Kudos to the lantern carvers!

Each year where I live people line a section of wooded area alongside a major street with their jack-o-lanterns. It's very cool as well.

That sounds great, Sheryll!

Another of my favorite things at this time of year is a field filled with pumpkins. There's a farm in my area that lets people visit so they can pick their own.
