Happy Mother's Day

Warm wishes to all the moms out there.

My daughter and I are walking in a 10K race this morning—it's a fundraiser for the local center for the Deaf and hard of hearing—and then we're heading home for a family brunch.

I hope you have a wonderful day with your family, and I hope someone else does the dishes.

Until next time,

Lee

Good luck with the 10K walk, Lee!
What a great way to spend Mother's Day--with your daughter.

Enjoy your walk with your daughter. The sun is shining in Victoria and that's a blessing.

I'm out for a Mother's Day lunch at a friend's home. I've had gorgeous flowers from my son who lives far away in the Toronto area.

I look forward to reading Firefighter Daddy.

Thanks, Marin! I haven't seen the "official" times yet, but I think we finished in approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes. If so, that's a personal best for me!

You too, Gillian! I hope yours was as wonderful as mine.

Mmmm, Jodie. I am still stuffed from brunch but the thought of fish tacos has my mouth watering!

Anita, we had a perfect day for the race. The course took us through a farming community - pastoral and very picturesque.

Anna, it was a great mother/daughter morning. She also kept encouraging me to pick up the pace - I'm sure my time wouldn't have been as good if I'd been walking on my own.
