Lee’s Cream-cycle

Last month you might remember that I posted a couple of photos of my two bicycles—the polka dot bike my husband gave me for Christmas and the old coaster bike he salvaged.

Here’s the coaster bike before he started to work on it . . .

. . . and here it is after.

I love it!

Gillian, if you see this, you were absolutely right about orange being a great color, and I love the cream accents. Now all I need is a wicker basket, and I’m set!

Until next time,
Lee

It's gorgeous, Lee!

Your husband is going to start getting requests from strangers who see you spinning around town on your two-wheeled works of art!

Wow, Lee, you're going to have a tough decision every time you decide to go for a bike ride! Polka dots or cream-cycle.

Very nice.

Lee--love the bike! I've never met a bike collector--can't wait to see what you find next :-)

You're right, Rachel. He could be kept very busy, although it's unlikely that anyone would be willing to pay for the hours and hours of work involved. I think it's safe to say these projects are a labor of love.

LOL, Sheryll! I love them both, so they will have to take turns ;)

Marin, my "collection" will stop with two bikes, although at any given time my husband has an assortment of bicycle frames, wheels and other parts in his shop. Like Rachel suggested, he might have to start making bikes for other people.

I can't believe it's the same bike, Lee. It is so much shapelier, and so desirable. What a Cinderella transformation. Your hubby must be a magician!

HEY! *grinning from ear to ear* Is that not the happiest, welcome-to-springtime-color ever? It's awesome, Lee, and your husband is awesome, too. Have fun! :)

Cycle over and visit me. May I try riding your latest cream-cycle? I'll be very careful. I'll ride in the driveway so your nerves won't unravel.

Love both bikes. I wan to see them in the "flesh" so to speak. Enjoy.

Anita, I would love to bike to your place but I'm not sure I have that much stamina. I'll work on it!
