Happy New Year’s Eve!
Don’t you love the feel of a new year? Starting out with a clean slate or a fresh canvas or...okay, you get the idea! So many possibilities.
And don’t you love to open a new day planner and feel those fresh, crisp pages waiting to be filled? It’s one of my favorite things!
However you plan to ring in the New Year, please stay safe and be happy.
Wishing you the very best in 2009,
Lee

Yes, yes, yes! I love clean white paper and new calendars unsullied by dentist appointments and mortgage renewals.
I also like to clean the house before the New Year (the one tomorrow and Chinese New Year in a couple of months and the start of the school year in September, as well) so it gets a fresh start too! Then I don't feel so bad that I leave it to its own devices the rest of the year – at least it's been dusted three times.
A healthy, happy 2009 to you and yours, Lee.
Rachel
I agree as well! I love a new calendar, everyone in the family gets one, and a new planner.
And thanks for sharing about your family's Christmas!
Rachel, I've been trying to clean house as well! Just to look at a fairly clean kitchen and living room to start the new year. I don't care about the toys scattered about, though, as my youngest has almost outgrown them and I'm clinging to the thought that I still have one "child", instead of a house-full of teenagers. :)
Rachel, I have to confess that I hired a housekeeper to come in before Christmas and give my house a thorough top-to-bottom cleaning. Money well spent! In fact, I've decided to look for someone on a permanent basis.
LOL about you clinging to your child's childhood, Gillian! Happy New Year to you and your family!
