It gives us a little more backyard seating and since it’s higher than the fence, it also provides some added privacy. Now if only I had time to sew, I’d make seat cushions for it!The electrical wiring in the folly has also been finished. Here’s a picture of it at night.

The hanging baskets over the bench look great, Lee.
One of my hanging fuchsias overwintered and is looking quite perky now – lots of leaves and some buds – such a bonus when that happens.
Your folly does look very romantic – good inspiration for more books, yes?

The baskets hanging inside the trellis came from the nursery, so they were already in full bloom.
We planted a few more baskets ourselves and they're still looking a little scrappy, but a week or two of water and sunshine will change that :)
